This year, VVUÚ will celebrate its 70th anniversary. During these seven decades, we have transformed ourselves from a research institute specializing in mining safety into a modern and dynamic company with an extensive portfolio of services in testing, risk analysis and product certification.

The priority for us was the responsiveness of the website – this means that all information is clearly available to you, whether through mobile phones, tablets or computers. The website adapts to your device and you don’t have to look for the information you need.

In the last year 2023, the accredited testing laboratory VVUÚ a.s. in the field of material flammability expanded it is scope of accreditation to include a new test for sustained combustion of liquids, also known as "Determination of sustained combustibility of liquids." This accreditation makes us the only testing laboratory in the Czech Republic and one of the few in the EU that can conduct these tests in accredited quality.
